Chicken Hot Shots

 

What you need

  • Chicken (leg or breast – 2 pieces) ½ kg
  • Salt / Pepper / Mustard ½ tsp each
  • Garlic 1tbsp
  • Vinegar 3 tbsp
  • Flour (self-raising) 1 cup
  • Baking powder ½ tsp
  • Corn flour 3 tbsp
  • Chilli sauce As needed
  • Chilled water As needed

What you do

  1. Marinate chicken with salt, pepper, mustard, garlic, and vinegar.
  2. Make a batter of flour, baking powder, corn flour, chilli sauce, and water.
  3. Dip marinated chicken in the batter and then on dry self-raising flour.
  4. Deep fry until golden brown.
  5. Serve with garlic mayo sauce (recipe below).

 

Garlic Mayo Sauce

What you need

  • Mayonnaise 1 cup
  • Garlic / ketchup / lemon juice 1 tbsp each

What you do

  1. Mix all above ingredients well.
  2. Serve hot shots with garlic mayo sauce.
